Because I want to make a Coffee mug, that can actually be used, so I have had to research what 3D Printed objects are made from, and whether the plastic is the right quality (and not toxic) and whether it is safe to have drinks put inside it.
3D printed objects are made from a combination of many different materials such as ABS Plastic, PLA, Polymide (nylon), Glass-filled Polyamide, stereolithography materials (epoxy resins), Silver, Titanium, Steel, Wax, Photopolymers and polycarbonate.
Now if you aren't a technology-ninja, don't fear!!! (Because I am in the same boat as you) Now the paragraph about probably doesn't make much sense, and it probably looks like a bunch of massive words that don't really mean much to you. BASICALLY, 3D printed objects are made from mainly plastic, as it is easily melted and sets quickly.
I have to find out what quality the cup must be to make it safe enough to use.

Time - Time is also something else I have had to consider. We have had a busy term and I may not be able to actually produce a physical prototype. I may just have to describe what I have done, and where I would take the project next (if I had more time)
